When you create an account on Nriquo, we collect your email address, display name, and country of residence. You may optionally provide a bio and select interest topics. We do not collect phone numbers, government IDs, or financial information.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide and maintain the Nriquo platform, personalize your feed based on your country and interests, display your profile to other community members (unless you post anonymously), send important service updates, and improve our features and user experience.

3. Anonymous posting

Nriquo allows anonymous posting. When you post anonymously, your display name, avatar, and country are hidden from other users. Your user ID is still stored internally for moderation purposes but is never displayed publicly.

4. AI advisor

The NRI Advisor feature uses AI to answer questions about NRI-related topics. Your questions are processed to generate responses but are not used to train AI models. Conversation history is stored in your account for your convenience and can be cleared at any time.

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure with row-level security policies. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) for all communications. Authentication is handled via secure magic link email verification and OAuth providers.

6. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting and analytics), Google (OAuth sign-in), and NewsAPI.org (news content for the NRI Pulse feed). Each service has its own privacy policy governing their handling of data.

7. Cookies and analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to understand how our platform is used. This collects anonymized usage data such as page views and device type. We use essential cookies for authentication session management only. We do not use advertising cookies or trackers.

8. Your rights

You can update or delete your profile information at any time from your account settings. To request complete deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at contact@nriquo.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

9. Children

Nriquo is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on our platform. Continued use of Nriquo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
